RTSOFT LEADING EXPERTS TOOK PART IN THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM "POWER GRIDS - 2022"

The specialists presented the papers at the X Anniversary International Research and Training Conference "Automation and information technologies in Energy 2022" and the session "Efficiency of electric power companies through business diversification and development of new services".

The International Forum "Power Grids - 2022" (PGIF) was held on March 22 - 25 at VDNH. Within the business program of the forum, the X Anniversary International Research and Training Conference "Automation and Information Technologies in Energy 2022" was held on March 22. The organizer of the event is "Automation and IT in energy" magazine under the support of the National SC D2 of Russian NC of CIGRE "Information Systems and Telecommunication" (the base institution is RTSoft).

 

The main topic of the conference: "The current state and trends in the development of information control systems and telecommunication in the energy sector".

The participants discussed practical issues and methods of automation in the field of digital transformation of the electric power industry, the role of IT in developing smart energy, industry regulations and standards for improving the efficiency of power grid companies.

The RTSoft and National SC D2 expert presented the paper "Design and modeling of self-recovering IT infrastructure resistant to cyber threats".

The topic is highly relevant nowadays. Large-scale computer network hacks that have occurred in recent years have clearly demonstrated the vulnerability of existing security methods. The speaker drew the attention of the audience to the necessity of considering the probability and calculating the consequences of the fact that any node of the network can gain illegitimate access to the unprotected Internet or another node and become the point from which an attack or infection begins.

Also, on March 22, the session "Efficiency of electric power companies through business diversification and development of new services" was held. One of the session speakers was Alexey Neberа, the RTSoft Group Technical Director, a regular member of National SC D2 and International SC D2 CIGRE.

His report was dedicated to the RTSoft service of automated consulting for PJSC ROSSETI customers. On the basis of regularly collected data, the cost of purchased electric energy is reduced and the income from Demand Response services provision is increased.
